Restoration
Québlen has been in our family for hundreds of years, and was showing her age. Almost all the rooms were in need of work, but we have had to focus on the western end (côté métairie) for now. You will be staying in this part of the house, and won’t have access to the eastern end (côté terrace). However, to give you an idea of what it looks like, take a look at the photos below:
Conservation
In 2016, the farmhouse (Metairie) and Dovecote (Pigeonnier) underwent extensive conservation work to try to save them from ruin. The roof was completely replaced on the Metairie, and southern face of Pigeonnier was entirely rebuilt. You can see some photos of this work below:
